“It is important for women,” said O’Donnell Financial chief operating officer Kaselionis, one of the keynote speakers, “to have a safe environment to share their stories and provide encouragement to each other.”

Reinganum, master chair at Vistage Worldwide, Inc., echoed her sentiments: “The conference allowed women to share about the challenges they face daily in business regarding work/life balance. It was that safe space that is not often available to them as they build their careers.”

Hosted by TASI president Dave Joves and organized by TASI vice president of marketing Alan Gaul, the conference was designed to provide anecdotal and experiential information from senior-level executives with decades of leadership and mentoring experience.

“As a Minority Depository Institution,” said Joves, “we understand the hurdles women and minorities face in business, particularly, as they deal with typical banks. At TASI, we see ourselves as mavericks and, as a result, are committed to reaching out to those who may not have access, whether it is funding or learning environments.”

Reinganum lauded the TASI effort as “one demonstrating that it cares about women.” Added Kaselionis, “I thought that it was a great opportunity for women to empower, engage, and network.”

Among the other speakers was Lesley Anne Guerrero, senior VP/chief experience officer at Bank of Guam ®, which is the parent organization of TASI Bank. “Spending the time with the participants was gratifying and reassuring that there are more and more women ready to step into leadership positions.”

Gaul said, “Our goal was to bring women in business together for a learning and sharing experience in an open and pressure-free environment. It was a networking opportunity for them, first and foremost.”

The group also heard from Sophia Catha, a business coach.
