Memorial Regional Hospital Emergency Department has been selected as a recipient of the Emergency Nurses Association's 2024 Lantern Award

The Lantern Award is a visible symbol of the emergency department's accomplishments in incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care, recognizing quality, safety and a healthy work environment. As part of the application, emergency departments share stories that highlight a commitment to patient care, as well as the well-being of nursing staff. In its application, the hospital highlighted its work on stroke care, partnerships with emergency medical service agencies, and recent attestation as Florida's first Resuscitation Center of Excellence.
