As attendees chanted “Malavi,” meaning “Everyone together” in Bunun, one of Taiwan’s indigenous groups, Huang emphasized the need for solidarity across governments, industries, and communities, ensuring Taiwan's indigenous voices are heard internationally.

In addition to external speeches, E.SUN is actively engaging with international organizations to exchange knowledge. They have collaborated with Aaron Vermeulen, Head of Nature Finance at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and Amanpreet Singh, Head of Sustainable Finance for Asia-Pacific at MUFG. Furthermore, E.SUN has participated in several side events at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, including seminars organized by UNFCCC, the UK Pavilion, the Denmark Pavilion, and the Coalition for Rainforest Nations, in order to align with global trends in climate and natural sustainability.

This year's COP29, dubbed the “Finance COP,” prioritizes climate funding and policy. Participants are urged to establish new targets for climate financing, enhancing resilience for vulnerable nations and enterprises. Echoing the COP29 president's theme, “In Solidarity for a Green World,” the summit stresses collaborative action against climate change.

E.SUN has formed the “Coalition of Movers and Shakers” with the Financial Supervisory Commission and industry partners, taking a leadership role in the “Net Zero Promotion Work Platform for the Financial Sector.” These initiatives lay critical groundwork for carbon reduction policies in Taiwan's finance sector.

To support corporate transformation, E.SUN FHC and E.SUN bank has organized ESG Sustainability Initiatives for four years, engaging nearly 400 companies and collaborating with sustainability consultants. The Malavi Project, launched in partnership with NGOs in 2014, has helped indigenous farmers create 18 hectares of organic farmland, leading to significant ecological restoration.

“Malavi! Together we can do great things!” E.SUN remains committed to innovative climate action through partnerships with the government, businesses, and civil society, driving systematic change for a resilient and sustainable future.
