In early trade today, the markets seem to be undecided. While S&P 500 and NASDAQ are in positive territory, Dow Jones is slightly in red area. This is largely in line with global cues where markets are showing mixed trend. However, there are some major gainers in trading today. So, let’s have a look at the stocks with highest positive price movements in the current session.

MetroPCS Communications Inc. (NYSE:PCS): The stock is up on the news about its possible deal with Deutsche Telekom. The German telecom company is said to be preparing a share swap deal with MetroPCS Communications for boosting its T-Mobile USA division. MetroPCS Communications stock jumped as high as $14.51 and is currently trading at $13.75, 19.36 percent up from its previous close of $11.52. The stock has already traded 10.779 million shares so far, in comparison to its usual daily volume of 7.128 million. MetroPCS Communications stock trades at Price Earnings ratio of 15.10 and the company had reported its latest Earnings per Share at $0.90. The stock has traded in the range of $5.53 and $12.48 in the past 52 weeks. The merged entity is likely to result in additional 9.3 million prepaid users and is expected to be headquartered in Bellevue in Washington. T-Mobile USA was a takeover target for AT&T last year. The deal was thwarted by the regulators.

National Bank of Greece (NYSE:NBG): The stock is currently trading at $2.46, up 4.23 percent from its previous close of $2.36.  National Bank of Greece has traded in the range of $2.45 and $2.55 in the current trading session and has swapped over 339 K shares in the early trades. Its average daily volume stands at 663K. The company had reported its latest Earnings per Share at rather disappointing -$17.41. The stock saw a pretty good run up in the month of September. National Bank of Greece stock is trading at the beta of 1.88 and it has traded in the range of $1.12 and $4.10 in the past 52 weeks.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ:ESLT): The company bagged the contract to supply battle management systems to the Royal Australian Navy and the effect is visible on its stock, which is now trading at $36.53, up 6.16 percent from its previous close of $34.41. The stock has traded in the range of $35.92 and $36.57 in the current trading session. It has already exchanged 8.9K shares so far, in comparison to its average daily trading volume of 9.181K. The company reported that the contract is in an amount that is not material to the company. Elbit Systems had also recently won a contract from Latin American Air Force. The contract was worth $18.5 million. Elbit Systems has been rated Equal weight by Barclays Capital and its price target was set at $36. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 16.49 and the company has market capitalization of $1.55 billion.

Globus Medical Inc. (NYSE:GMED): The stock is currently trading at $19.05, up 3.09 percent from its previous close of $18.48. It also created a new 52 weeks high price in the process. The company recently received its first PMA approval for Secure C Cervical Artificial Disc. The disc was found statistically superior to ACDF. Globus Medical stock has traded in the range of $13.06 and $19.89 in the past 52 weeks and it has oscillated between $18.60 and $19.89 in the current trading session. The stock has Price Earnings ratio of 25.88 and it reported its latest Earnings per Share at $0.74. Globus Medical commands market cap of $1.72 billion. The stock is rated Overweight by Piper Jaffray and its price target has been set at $21.

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF): The company has reported the earnings release date for its fiscal third quarter of 2012. Herbalife will be presenting the financial statements for the quarter on October 30, 2012. The stock has been languishing from past couple of months but today it is trading at $52.43, up 4.42 percent on heavy volume. The stock has traded 3.596 million shares so far. Its average daily trading volume stands at 1.529 million. Herbalife has market capitalization of $5.83 billion and its stock has Price to Earnings ratio of 14.04. The company had reported its latest Earnings per Share at $3.71.
