The former chief financial officer of Global Payments Inc., based in Atlanta, is now using his experience to support business owners.
Paul Todd, who left Global Payments ($GPN) in July of last year, has accepted a venture partner position at the nearby venture capital firm TTV Capital, where he will mentor the founders of the firm's portfolio companies and counsel other partners on investment choices.
Lizzie Guynn, Laney Lewis, and Neil Kapur are just a few of the new partners who have joined over the past few years. Todd is the most recent. The expansion comes as early-stage financial technology startup specialist TTV Capital closed its sixth and largest-ever fund at $250 million.

This news comes on the heels of Global Payments' impressive quarterly earnings report, which outperformed projections with $2.40 earnings per share (EPS) and $2.29 billion in revenue. Additionally, Global Payments had positive returns with a return on equity of 10.67%. Analysts predict that this move will not affect Global Paymentβs strong performance and growth trajectory, especially now that more investors are looking to buy into the business services provider.

Global Payments (GPN) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.48 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.49 per share. This compares to earnings of $2.18 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items. Global Payments , which belongs to the Zacks Financial Transaction Services industry, posted revenues of $2.06 billion for the quarter ended September 2022, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.17%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $2 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters. Global Payments shares have lost about 7.3% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's decline of -18.2%.
