He was a part of the setup right from the start, and I presume the whole thing was planned and endorsed by insiders long time ago: I say at least a year ago, around the time of the last financing.

Rogue companies like Parade must be punished one way or another. This is my take on it. Also, I don’t quite get the insiders point of view and their agreement on this type of (hostile) takeover. Nor did I get the fact Omar was hired just to get the company to the finale like this. Obviously it it them who approved him.

Judging the daily volume, the takeovers are trying to scrape shares that are still required for them to push the deal through. I don’t know if those trades are result of the retail holders giving up on their stakes or they are just attempts of triggering that process. In any case, they will do everything to make this happen.

β€œBy 2026, we expect over 70% of the Cloud server market to be active copper. From a revenue perspective, the market will quickly exceed US$1bn and can exceed US$3bn by 2026, far higher than the DAC market it will replace. Active copper cables also help support the $20bn, and growing, Ethernet market in the data centre which is critical for the future growth of Cloud and AI/ML applications.”

β€œWe are proud to have Volex as a partner for 800G interconnects using our GaugeChangerβ„’ ICs,” said Spectra7 CEO Raouf Halim. β€œWe see strong demand from customers for the low power cost effective 800G cables that we are jointly bringing to the hyperscale data center market.”

"We are thrilled by this outcome and excited to close this transaction. Spectra7's pioneering work and best-in-class Active Copper Cable products have a great partner in Parade, a powerhouse in the industry. Our customers, partners and industry will benefit tremendously." – Omar Javaid, CEO of Spectra7.

thrilled? wow Omar, just reread this, can't believe you chose to say that!

The Meeting has been set for April 14, 2025. The Sale Transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025.

so I guess the stock will continue to trade until this date when it gets finalized

ouch! just glad I sold when I still had some profits here, kept a close eye because the potential was so huge, still wonder about that last news release speaking of a "major order", so was there really a HUGE order? and now Parade gets to be the one profiting? is Omar being paid by Parade all along?

So we can more than likely say that Fortune/Silicone Valley was just a plant, a paid shill, a pumper. All others have shown up said their piece but not this guy. Imagine what kind of a person does that. Yes ultimately we make our own decisions and I didn't buy on his pumps but at least we know why he was arrogant.

In addition, as part of the acquisition, it is currently anticipated that a significant number of Spectra7's employees will join Parade, ensuring continuity of technical expertise and customer support. I'm sure on is Omar. This company just refuses to be up front.

SeekingAlpha says the assets were sold for "undisclosed sum"? Does that means the management potentially gets more for their shares than us? Isn't it the case for a lawsuit? Not that I have money for that, just saying.

now if it comes to light that "major order" was for $100 million from Tencent, but failed to move the PPS higher, then you will know Parade gave shareholders a chance to get the PPS higher before the deal was final, but nobody believed the words "major order", not saying that happened, but I guess it is possible

per Gemini on Parade

Based on the information available, here's what I can tell you about Parade Technologies, the company acquiring Spectra7:

β€’ Parade Technologies' Core Business:
o Parade Technologies, Ltd. is a leading supplier of mixed-signal integrated circuits.
o They are particularly known for their expertise in video display, touch controller, and high-speed interface ICs.
o They are a company that is traded on the Taipei Exchange (TPEx: 4966. TWO).

β€’ Strategic Acquisition of Spectra7:
o Parade's acquisition of Spectra7's assets is aimed at strengthening their position in the high-speed data connectivity market.
o Specifically, they are interested in Spectra7's advanced active cable technology, which is crucial for applications in data centers, AI-powered computing, and next-generation consumer electronics.
o Parade intends to leverage Spectra7's technology to expand into these high-growth areas.

β€’ Key Aspects of the Acquisition:
o The acquisition includes Spectra7's intellectual property, products, designs, and inventory.
o A significant number of Spectra7's employees are expected to join Parade, ensuring continuity of expertise.
o This aquisition will enable parade to increase their offerings in the high speed data transfer market.

β€’ Market Focus:
o Parade is increasing its focus on the high speed data transfer market, which is being driven by factors like AI, and the ever increasing needs of data centers.

In essence, Parade Technologies is a well-established company in the semiconductor industry, and they are strategically acquiring Spectra7 to enhance their capabilities in the growing high-speed data connectivity market.

is Tencent one of Parades customers?

Unfortunately, definitively stating whether Tencent is a direct, named customer of Parade Technologies is difficult without access to specific, non-public customer lists. However, we can analyze the situation based on what we know:

β€’ Parade Technologies' Market:
o Parade Technologies supplies mixed-signal ICs for display and high-speed interfaces. This means their products are used in a wide range of devices, including computers, consumer electronics, and display panels.
o Given Tencent's massive presence in online gaming, cloud computing, and various digital platforms, it's highly plausible that they utilize components from companies like Parade Technologies.
o Tencent uses large amounts of data center equipment, and Parade is moving more heavily into that market.

β€’ Tencent's Technology Use:
o Tencent relies heavily on advanced technology for its operations, including high-speed data transmission and display technologies.
o Therefore, they are likely to work with numerous semiconductor suppliers, including those specializing in the areas where Parade Technologies excels.

β€’ Supply Chain Complexity:
o In the electronics industry, supply chains are often complex, with components passing through multiple manufacturers and assemblers. This can make it difficult to trace direct customer relationships.

In conclusion:

β€’ While I cannot provide definitive confirmation, it is highly possible that Tencent utilizes Parade Technologies' components in their various technology applications.

β€’ Parade technologies sells to OEM's, and those OEM's could very well be producing products used by tencent.

β€’ Given the nature of the industry and the products that Parade technologies produces, it is very likely that large companies such as tencent, are utilizing products that contain Parade technologies products.

Therefore, while a direct "yes" or "no" is hard to give, the market presence of both companies makes it very likely they are involved in some level of business with each other.

By the way, didn't new CEO/President say on his Linkden that is "known for increasing shareholder value." Just how much less did this get sold for from when he took over?
His credibility is now shot and should no longer be able to use that line. Just sad, real sad.
